Jamaica Earned Less From Exports Up To May

Jamaica earned less from exports for the first five months of this year.   The Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) says total earnings for goods going out was US$641.4 million.   This represents a 2.8 per cent decline compared with the US$660 million earned for the same period last year.    STATIN says the lower earnings was primarily driven by a 59 per cent reduction in the value of fuel products exported.   READ: Import spend rises for January to May
